This is an antique chromolithograph (colored lithograph) from JUDGE Magazine, a political satire magazine published in 1894 that was very popular in its day, and continues to be popular among collectors of political and historical memorabilia today. TEXT: IT WORKED SUCCESSFULLY (See pictures for smaller text) ARTIST: SIGNED IN PLATE, BUT NOT LEGIBLE CONDITION: EXCELLENT / VERY GOOD — The prints in this series are clear, very colorful and bright. No tears or folds. A really fine image. Excellent definition. Nice sharp lines, and wide margins. (NOTE: SOME, BUT NOT ALL, OF THE PRINTS IN THIS SERIES HAVE SMUDGES IN THE WHITE SPACES SURROUNDING THE IMAGES. THESE ARE OLD PRINTS SO SOME CONDITION ISSUES ARE TO BE EXPECTED. SEE PICTURES.) This print is about 130 years old and guaranteed to be original. It is an authentic old print from the aforementioned magazine and NOT A MODERN REPRODUCTION.The visible part of the print, including the white border (if any) is about 9″ x 12 1/4″. Matted the print measures 12″ x 16″.
